We are the Untitled-8 FTC Oregon Robotics team from Waluga Jr. High School in Lake Oswego, Oregon. We are in creating a robot to participate in the First Tech Challenge this year. We are also in the planning stages of a community service project involving educating younger children in elementary school about robotics and encouraging them to participate in such events. We feel this will get more kids to get interested in robotics and other fields of technology at an earlier age.
FIRST's mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
